A Root is a fusion band rooted in Taiwanese culture; their composition transforms cultural traditions into musical narratives with a combination of traditional instruments and inspirations from the environment and space.

The name “Nana” means “girl” in certain European languages, and it pays tribute to the novel by French writer E. Zola and the manga of Japanese author Yazawa Ai.
