Founded in 1992, under the leadership of former artistic director and conductor Ms. Chen Yun-hung, previous conductors Ms. Weng Chia-fen and Serene Liang, Taipei Chamber Singers (TCS) has made its name as one of Asia’s topmost choral groups through 30 years of professional vocal experiences.
TCS won numerous awards in Europe, has toured across the world extensively to places and launched the Music Unlimited Project to establish a platform for the commission and presentation of original contemporary works. The Project has commissioned over 100 original works in genres ranging from a cappella, chamber, electronic, to contemporary theatrical by outstanding composers around the world. The group has been invited to perform at major music festivals, including ISCM-ACL World Music Days, Shanghai New Music Week and Singapore International Festival of Arts, and have been recognized by the international music scene.
TCS owns an exclusive record label and has released ten music albums. The latest album “YIN - An Unlimited Passage” has set a record for the “32nd Golden Melody Award for Traditional Arts and Music” and won four awards included the Best Performance, Best Album Producer, Best Composition, and Best Recording.
